Santoku means "the 3 virtues" (slicing, dicing, mincing) and stands for this knife's high versatility. It is the perfect multi-purpose knife for vegetables, meat and fish. This great universal tool isn't as intimidating as a large chef knife and therefore perfectly suited to initiate you to the great world of Japanese knives.

The blade's heart is made of R2 powered steel, which has an extremely fine structure, and clad by multilayered damascus.

The handle is a real piece of art : it is made of massive, exotic ironwood – the most dense and heavy wood existing. The wood's density makes the handle resistant to humidity and guarantees its longevity. This masterpiece is surely one of our most beautiful knives!

The Saji Office Ironwood knives are made by Takeshi Saji, a renowned Japanese master blacksmith.
