This 100% pure Quebec maple syrup, hand-selected and matured in single use bourbon oak barrels from Kentucky distilleries.
As the maple syrup ages, it absorbs the delicious oak flavour from the barrel, which adds notes of vanilla, caramel, mellowed wood, as well as an elegant hint of bourbon to this local high-end product.
Hidden in the heart of Verdun, in Montreal, the 1769 Distillery gets its name from the historic date when the very first distillery was created in Quebec. The passionate couple behind the name use single-use bourbon barrels in which their maple syrup is aged for 3 to 4 months in order to absorb hints of vanilla, caramel, woody accents and of course - bourbon notes!
