Montreal, QC — Nestled in the charming enclave of Little Italy, Crocodile bar at 6484 Boul St-Laurent, is a refreshing addition to Montreal’s vibrant cocktail scene.
Innovative Collaboration
What began as a whimsical summer experiment in 2024 has transformed into one of Montreal’s most beloved cocktail destinations. Crocodile, Alambika’s hidden bar tucked behind a secret door in our boutique, has made its mark on the city’s vibrant cocktail scene. Initially envisioned as a summer pop-up, Crocodile quickly captured hearts and taste buds, earning its place as a permanent part of Alkademie.
A Sanctuary for Cocktail Lovers
During the week, Alkademie serves as our innovative laboratory, a creative playground for mixologists and event hosts alike. But as the weekend approaches, Crocodile emerges, offering an intimate escape for cocktail enthusiasts. With its unique blend of premium drinks and low-ABV aperitif options, it’s a space where simplicity meets sophistication, and every sip tells a story.
Our bilingual service ensures a warm welcome for both English and French-speaking guests, creating an inclusive and inviting atmosphere.
From Pop-Up to Permanent: Crocodile
The creative mastermind behind Crocodile, renowned Canadian bartender Max Coubès, continues to redefine the art of cocktails. His new menu introduced a premium cocktail section featuring high-quality spirits while staying true to our roots: low-ABV creations with simple, refined flavors.
This winter, Crocodile’s ambiance has evolved to embrace the season. Guests can now relax in plush armchairs by an artificial fireplace, wrapped in warm, furry blankets.
Sustainability and Education
Crocodile is not just about serving drinks; it’s about promoting a culture of responsible drinking and creativity. The bar serves as a laboratory for future Éduc'alcool recommendations, aiming to assist establishments in offering informed consumption choices to their patrons.
Art Meets Beverage
The visual experience at Crocodile is a seamless blend of art and mixology. Curated by illustrator Sarah Fatmi and bartender Max Coubès, the artwork displayed throughout the space adds a creative touch that complements the innovative spirit of the drinks.
A Commitment to Craft and Sustainability
At Crocodile, every detail reflects our passion for quality and sustainability. True to Alambika’s ethos, it wouldn’t be our bar if it didn’t feature our carefully selected ingredients, premium barware, and meticulously chosen glassware.
Guests not only enjoy their cocktails made with high-quality ingredients but can also purchase those same products in our boutique, bringing a piece of the Crocodile experience home. Each glass used in the bar is handpicked by us—there’s no such thing as a random glass here. And if you fall in love with the craftsmanship behind our glassware, it’s available for purchase at Alambika.
This dedication to thoughtful curation extends to sustainability. From locally sourced ingredients to eco-conscious practices, we’re committed to minimizing waste and celebrating mindful consumption.
