The Tarragona glass was named after the city of Tarragona in nothern Spain. In the 1920s, after the French government prohibited the sale of absinthe on it's territory, some absinthe makers relocated there.
The Tarragona glass is made of highest quality, with a crystal-like glass. One of its characteristic is its shallow reservoir, not as apparent as on the Pontarlier. The Tarragona glass we're offering is made by the San Miguel Cristalerias, the exact same workshop that used to make these glasses almost a 100 years ago! The company has agreed to make a limited run of these and we were able to get some of the last ones available.
It is a perfect match with our glass brouille-absinthe, also made by the Cristalerias San Miguel (sold separately).
