Bittercube literally creates its bitters by hand, peeling hundreds of pounds of citrus, measuring dozens of spices, and decorticating vanilla beans, among other time consuming tasks! You can enjoy the full range of Bittercube Bitters: Blackstrap, Cherry Bark Vanilla, Jamaican #1, Jamaican #2, Orange and Bolivar. The particularity of these bitters is that they were designed to be each associated with particular types of alcohol. The Bittercube Orange bitters is a citrus flavour forward bitters with aromas of caramelized orange, toasted coriander, and toasted cardamom. Bittercube macerate the orange peels twice to make the orange flavour pop, and add burned sugar at the end of the process to create a subtle caramelized orange flavour.
Bittercube was founded by Nicholas Kosevich and Ira Koplowitz in Madison, in 2009. Nick and Ira began developing bitters before Bittercube was formed and brought their ideas, techniques and recipes together. For nearly a year, the duo formulated, tweaked and developed the lineup that is now a large variety of Bittercube Bitters and some bar accessory. Bittercube Bitters are developed in Milwaukee, WI and created in Madison, WI using spirits from Yahara Bay Distillers, where all aspects of production are completed.
