Here is a boozy twist on a renowned Italian cocktail, the Negroni. This cocktail was invented by the publisher of « Boulevardier » , a magazine for expats living in Paris. Using whisky , vermouth and bitter liqueur, this is a balanced but strong cocktail. Have a try!


INGREDIENTS

  • 1oz of Whisky (Rye or Bourbon)
  • 1oz of Sweet Vermouth
  • 1oz of Bitter liqueur or Aperitivo ( Campari is commonly used here )  
  • Garnished with a Filthy Food Italian Cherry and an orange peel

STEPS

  1. Add ingredients to your mixing glass, previously filled with ice;
  2. Stir for at least 45 seconds, when you feel the ice is slightly melting;
  3. With a strainer, pour the mix into your glass (on fresh ice or without any ice);
  4. Skewer a cherry (or two!) onto a pick, lay on top of the glass, add an orange twist and voilà!
